We are looking for our delegation in Iraq for a
JPO Behaviour Change Communication (BCC) Manager - Tikrit
Position Start Date : As soon as possible
Duration : 8 months
Location : Tikrit – Iraq

Conditions :
Swiss salaried contract, CHF 1'665 ~ EUR 1'448 net salary/month x13, Annual Leave: 25 days per year. Contract includes also local accommodation and transportation, health and repatriation insurance, return flight.

Main responsibilities :
· Provide projects with methodological, strategic and technical support (collaboration with Awareness Officer, material developer, field staff, close collaboration is required with District Manager)
· Provides support to strengthen existing initiatives and capacities of the team in charge of the development and implementation of Mother and Child Health Programme.
· Assures the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of BCC strategy. Initiate the follow up and guidance for the next steps of the project.
Fonction details :
· Lead and coordinate behavior change strategy, capacity-building and activities adapted to each key component of new programme phase, focused on issues where practices are inappropriate
· Advise and mentor staff (headquarters, regional and site level) on how to integrate the behavior change strategy into project activities and communications
· Support the implementation of that strategy.
· Visit site-level offices and selected communities to gain adequate knowledge of potentials and constraints, and the work environment, to be able to better monitor, support, and affect behavior change
· Communicate and collaborate in accordance with the communication contract
· Provide capacity building of an Awareness Officer
· Provide training of the staff on communication, BCC
· Develop a communication plan
· Prepare a report on the activities performed and submit it to the Wash Specialist
· Analyse the situation of BCC activities in terms of quality and impact
· Prepare a final report of the mandate, with recommendations and share before leaving the country
· Advise and mentor staff (headquarters, regional and site level) on how to integrate the behavior change strategy into project activities and communications
· Visit site-level offices and selected communities to gain adequate knowledge of potentials and constraints, and the work environment, to be able to better monitor, support, and affect behavior change
· Work with project staff and partners to develop messaging on Wash, project
· Work with Monitoring and Evaluation in the development, application, and monitoring of behavior change outcomes, and if applicable, project indicators
· Review and assess effectiveness of behavior change aspects of activities and communications through reports, field visits, and surveys
· Network with other organizations to share behavior change information and best practices
· Develop behavior change-related skills, tools, and conceptual frameworks to strengthen responsiveness and analysis in programming and implementation, using own resources or outside expertise
Profile
· In depth knowledge and work experience in behavior change issues in natural resources
· Ability to work in a team, including effectively contributing to joint planning and implementation of trainings, workshops, and other program activities;
· Excellent organizational skills;
· Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills;
· Required computer proficiencies: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet;
· Language skills: English- fluent spoken, written.
